Georgia looking for trouble – Moscow (11.07.12)
Russia has accused Georgia of trying to find humanitarian pretexts to stir further trouble in the South Caucasus.
In a statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry Wednesday, it also said that Georgia’s reluctance to sign non-aggression pacts with South Ossetia and Abkhazia betrays a design to start another war.
The statement came one day after the UN General Assembly passed a Georgian resolution on ethnic Georgian refugees fleeing South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Russia urged the Assembly to vote down this resolution, in order to keep the Geneva talks on the South Caucasus afloat.
