South Ossetian CEC head Bella Pliyeva said that the republic is ready for the second round of presidential polls.
South Ossetia held polls on March 25. Leonid Tibilov got 42.48% of the vote, David Sanakoyev got 24.58%.
40,000 polling papers were printed. 39,790 people are on the electoral register. 84 polling stations will open, including one in Russia.
The CEC noted that over 34,000 forms will be used for South Ossetians and citizens living in North Ossetia, who will vote at two polling stations at the Verkhniye Ruk Village.
Pliyeva said that 3% of extra polling papers were printed. Every citizen casting their ballot will have a stamp put in their passport.
Dozens of observers from Russia, Trans-Dniester and Nagorno-Karabakh will monitor the elections. The CEC information center will open on April 8, simultaneously with the polling stations.
South Ossetia will hold the second round of polls on April 8. At least 30% of the population needs to take part in the voting process for the result to be valid.
