Russian humanitarian action in South Ossetia (23.08.11)

A humanitarian action is to take place in Russia between the 22nd of August and the 3rd of September. During this action the residents of South Ossetia will be given over 100 tons of humanitarian aid.

According to the Public Relations Centre of the Federal Security Service, the aid consists of food, medicines, essential commodities, books and also 200 satellite TV sets.

The residents of the republic which suffered from the Georgian aggression three years ago will also be provided with free medical aid. A field hospital will be stationed near the town of Leningor and mobile groups of doctors will be working in the hospitals of other populated areas. Doctors from the Central Military Clinical Hospital of the Russian Federal Security Service are taking part in the action.
